I am a senior hospital consultant with an academic background in medical law.
Patients and relatives do not always get the answers they are looking for. I understand both medicine and law and can help.
My particular interests include: family representation in the Coroner’s court (with the permission of the coroner), writing to Trusts to find out exactly what happened to you, advising whether you have been subject to medical negligence, and helping with end-of-life issues.

NHS Hospitals. Where patients have been harmed it is vital that hospitals investigate those areas in need of improvement. Serious Untoward Incidents (SUI) sometimes require external expert input to ensure objectivity and credibility. I can either lead an investigation myself or suggest others who may be able to provide the necessary expertise. Any report will be directed in confidence to the agency employing my services.
